During November 2008, the Pro Marshall Center performed planned field visits to the custom bureaus in: Briceni, Cahul, Leuseni and Ungheni.
The goal of the field visits is the evaluation and monitoring of the Gov. Decision nr.32 regarding the prevention and combating of corruption in Custom System. Therefore, the surveys were used as an evaluation tool of the Custom collaborators.
At the same time, these visits allowed to collect information concerning the TCP implementation, on the whole territory of the Republic of Moldova. The analysis of this information provides an opportunity to evaluate the impact of the measures undertaken within the framework of TCP with regard to the quality of customs services.
The following activities were monitored:.
- the participation of the CS collaborators at the seminars on prevention and combating of corruption;
- the informing of the CS by the citizens regarding corruption acts in the custom system;
- the informative materials regarding corruption phenomenon;
- the access of citizens to different type of information;.
Within the undertaken visits, the Pro Marshall Center distributed promotional materials regarding the campaign on combating and prevention of corruption, provided by the Academy for Educational Development (AED) and Center for Analysis and Prevention of Corruption (CAPC).
