Trainings for cultivating justice to bolster the security of the Moldovan Ministry of Defense

  • 26.09.2024

During September 24-27, 2024, the associated experts of the Pro Marshall Center of the Republic of Moldova, in partnership with representatives of the Military Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defense, conducted trainings in the territory for the soldiers of the National Army.
The central subject of the trainings was ensuring compliance with the fundamental rights and essential duties of the soldiers on time and by contract. In particular, topics of priority interest for the soldiers were addressed, such as: the right to freedom and personal security; the right to medical care for soldiers; the right to protection of religious freedom; protection of the right to property, etc.

The experts alternated various methods and techniques of training adults, such as:

  • The explanatory and discussion method, used in the introductory session, to engage participants in dialogue;
  • Learning through group exercises, which allows participants to analyze and solve a hypothetical scenario, facilitating the application of learned concepts in concrete situations.
  • Role-playing, which involves participants playing different roles in a modeled situation. This exercise stimulates empathy, critical thinking and the application of correct procedures.
  • Reflection and feedback, used at the end of each session, in which participants are encouraged to reflect on the lessons learned and provide feedback, which supports the continuous development and application of knowledge in practice.

The trainings were conducted in military units in Chisinau, Balti and Cahul and brought together over 635 soldiers of the National Army, both permanent and contract soldiers.

These trainings were carried out within the project: "Cultivating integrity and justice for strengthening security within the Ministry of Defense" implemented with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) in the Republic of Moldova.
