The Pro Marshall Center of the Republic of Moldova is pleased to announce the organization of the International Roundtable Discussion “Security Architecture in the EU Eastern Neighborhood: Challenges and Realities" that is going to be held in Chisinau on June 22-23, 2010.

This event is organized by the Pro Marshall Center of the Republic of Moldova in collaboration with the East East: Partnership Beyond Borders Program (EE:PBBP) of the Soros Foundation-Moldova, being co-financed by the Embassy of Lithuania in Chisinau, as NATO Contact Point. This project envisages several meetings with the Moldovan decision- and policy-makers and relevant think tanks/NGO representatives on June 21. These meetings will be followed by two-day Roundtable discussions, at which experts from Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania and Ukraine will be invited. This initiative will serve as an exchange of acquired experiences and will represent a vital part of the common European efforts for improving the regional cooperation that aims at ensuring the security environment in the region, paying special attention to challenges and threats to security and facilitating discussions on the foreign policy strategies that require involvement of all social actors from the region.

The International Roundtable Discussion “Security Architecture in the EU Eastern Neighborhood: Challenges and Realities" will start with opening session on 22 June, at 9:30 a.m. and will take place at the Coral Hall, Codru Hotel (18 Maria Cibotari Street entrence, Chisinau).
