WHO WE ARE

 


Pro Marshall Center of the Republic of Moldova was founded on June the 18th, 2002, with the support of George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. The Pro Marshall Center is administrated by the Center Council, which is subordinated to the general meeting of the Center members, that is managed by the Director. The Pro Marshall Center of the Republic of Moldova is a voluntary, public, non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization.


Mission:

- Promotion of the democratic ideals and implementation of activities based on goodwill and rule of law;

- Consolidation of stability and security through dialog and co-operation with democratic organizations in order to assure peace and improve cooperation between national and international institutions;

- Promotion of the ideas of a united Europe and contribution to the participation of the Republic of Moldova in the processes of European integration;

- Contribution to the improvement of the national security maintenance methods, prevention of conflict and other terrorist manifestations through means of international law and establishment of prevention ways of a possible terrorism extension in our country.


Activities:

- Implementation of programs designed to promote the George C. Marshall Plan in Moldova;

- Promotion of ideas of a united Europe and assistance to the participation of the Republic of Moldova in the processes of European integration;

- Organization of communicative and informative scientific events: conferences, workshops, symposia, seminars, round tables and congresses;

- Development of adequate facilities, required for an efficient educational process;

- Organization of training centers, consulting offices, courses and workshops;

- Establishment of partnerships for the exchange of experts and professionals from the national security domains;

- Offering continuous education for students, by creating a Center for Modern Studies (High School – College – University;

- Exchange of publications and informational materials on national and international level, with the help of a specialized library;

- Cooperation with the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, as well as with other national and foreign institutions;

- Organization of re-conversion centers for retired military and police representatives for involving them into the social life and apply rationally their knowledge and experience in practice;

- Publication of newspapers, journals and informational literature;

- Organization of summer schools and trainings for spreading the knowledge on security issues.
